A comprehensive meta-analysis finding has shown that a significant decline in the knowledge and compliance of standards of care happens throughout the career of a surgeon. Unfortunately, motivation per se is never enough to elicit change. In certain circumstances, the motivation is drained the moment we learn to accept the status quo. Therefore, a catalyst is needed to keep us moving forward, which justifies the need to establish Institute.

Let us accept that progress is not going to happen without change. The Institute is been given the responsibility of leading the fulfillment of the vision. This step ladder approach requires a lot of creativity and patience along the way. Collectively, we strive to be better each day until we reach the next level.
